The needs of industrial power cables vary according to application scenarios, load characteristics and environmental conditions, but the core requirements center around safety, reliability, durability and efficiency. The following are the main requirements and selection points for industrial power cables:

1. Core electrical performance requirements
High current-carrying capacity: the cross-sectional area needs to be selected according to the load current (e.g. motor, transformer) to avoid overheating (refer to IEC 60287 standard).

Voltage resistance: medium and high voltage cables (e.g. 6kV, 10kV and above) need to meet insulation strength requirements (e.g. XLPE cross-linked polyethylene insulation).

Low impedance and low loss: Reduce the energy loss of long-distance power transmission (especially for inverter and servo system power supply).

2. Mechanical and environmental adaptability
Resistance to mechanical stress:

Resistant to bending and tensile (e.g. cables for mobile equipment need to add Kevlar fiber reinforcement layer).

Resistant to crushing (such as underground buried cables need to be armored with steel tape).

Environmental protection:

High temperature resistance: metallurgy, chemical industry scenes need to resist 105 ℃ ~ 150 ℃ high temperature (such as silicone rubber or fluorine plastic insulation).

Corrosion resistance: chemical plants, coastal areas need to prevent acid and alkali, salt spray (such as PVC outer sheath or Teflon coating).
